this guy I cant give out his name because of reasons I hope you guys would understand.

But he is one of our Martial arts Instructors. & hot looking kid with alot to live for.

YAKIMA: Accident critically injures soldier from Fort Lewis during maneuvers A Fort Lewis soldier was critically injured early Friday at the Yakima Training Center, where his unit, the 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, is conducting a major exercise.
The unidentified soldier was trapped between two vehicles, The Associated Press and the Yakima Herald-Republic reported.

Fort Lewis said the 21-year-old soldier was injured about 2:30 a.m. during maneuvers on the north end of the 300,000-plus-acre post.

He was flown to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit, a Fort Lewis spokeswoman said.

He was on foot “when he was apparently trapped between two Stryker vehicles, and sustained serious injuries,” the post said in a statement. The soldier is assigned to C Company of the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment.

“Military training is inherently dangerous, and the Army takes training accidents, such as this one, very seriously,” the post’s statement said. “We will investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, and incorporate any lessons learned into future training to help ensure the safety of our soldiers.”

Condition of injured Fort Lewis soldier upgraded
A Fort Lewis soldier injured early Friday in an accident at the Yakima Training Center has been upgraded from critical to serious condition at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, a hospital supervisor said Saturday night.
The soldier, whom the Army had not yet identified, was reportedly trapped between two Stryker vehicles during night training exercises.

The soldier is a member of the 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. He is assigned to the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment.

The soldier was hurt about 3 a.m. Friday on the north side of the 300,000-acre post

Always have to be on the look out when training. Its never good when anybody gets hurts!

Last night I found a note from the guys mother on line. It read:
The boy who was injured is my son. I would like to let all the mothers that are out there know that we were notified almost as soon as the injury occured and flown to his bedside. My son is doing well and looking forward to getting on with his life.

I also guess hes out of the hospital & moving slowly around. so thanks you guys.
