i woulda had a hard time keeping my cool in that situation, I would rather be hit by a guy, cus then I could beat the crap out of him...
but at least you got the SS for just barely more than the mileage on the car (tho with tax and title transfer, thats about equal)

Yeah, Ouch. But hey, look at the positive side. From what I can see from those pictures, the Z28 took the damage pretty well, compared to the girls car.

I hope I never see my old car for sale and in bad condition, I used to have an 84' porsche 944 and I was attached to that car! I had to sell it a little more than a year ago because it was always breaking down and all the bosch parts were super expensive so I sold it dirt cheap, $2000 to the only person who put in an offer and he already had 3 944's. He said he was probly gonna sell it to someone who races them and i nearly cried because he said it would most likely be gutted, but the interior was perfect
! But anyway it was a load off of my hands and I got a 96 Cavalier Z24 (It's ok, laugh) for the same price i sold the porsche and this car is very reliable and is faster then most 4cyl cars i have come across. Im just hoping it lasts me till the 5th gen comes out |

My '91 Z28 convertible was by far my favorite car I ever owned. It was more special to me than my Supra, even though the Supra was far superior of a car. I just truly in love with that car. When new baby finances broke the shit out of us I had to sell it. Lucky, my father-in-law bought it off us then sold it for us while I was on my first depoyment. When my ex-wife and I separated for a couple years back in 2001, she had seen it on the road and stopped to talk to the new owner (this was in Tampa, FL btw). He had put a new engine in it, new wheels, and some other goodies. I had already replaced the top and the interior/paint were mint when I had it. She said it was beautiful. I wanted to cry just remembering it.
So I feel his pain, ACS...it's hard to replace that feeling though. I thought I could wiht this '89 IROC vert I have now...but I ended up treating her like a red-headed stepchild instead. I just didn't get that feeling from her, maybe because I got her in such bad shape. Hopefully when I really start dedicating time and money into her I can get her to a place I will be able to lover her properly. |

That's part of the reason I'm afraid of trading my car I have now, or selling it, for a new Camaro. I know that is the only kind of vehicle I want, and I'm not getting rid of my car unless it's to put me in another Camaro, especially a V8. I know that if I ever saw someone else in my car going down the road, I would break down in tears!
