I'm sure a production version would be more toned-down. Autoblog.com has better images up now. The interior looks waaay concept though and far from what a production interior would have. Pretty cool though.

i think it belongs in the chevy lineup more than the GMC lineup , but regardless, IMO i can't see it going to production looking like that, i think it'd need to be toned down a bit.... just my thoughts.

I grew up a GM Fan, drive a GM and want to see GM succeed. That looks waaaaay to much like a Scion Xb.

No, this is smaller though it is based on the upcoming Orlando which is the Orlando's replacement.

The interior would likely get toned down a little and it would have conventionally rear doors. But I don't see why they couldn't go with that sheet metal, the GMC price point allows for a bit of room there.

Now that thats out of the way ... I absolutely hate the direction GMC is moving in. To me, the Terrain is borderline as to what GMC needs. GMC is a truck brand, small urban boxes are not trucks and therefore, GMC shouldn't build them. Look what happened when Pontiac moved away from its roots and began building economy cars, constant slide downhill.

The Granite's actually built off the Gamma-II platform. It's smaller than Orlando.

Personally, after seeing the first picture, I said to myself "Oh, that's looks pretty cool..." I was a bit dissapointed with the remaining pictures. Needs a better looking front imo

I thought it was a shortened Orlando. Whats on Gamma II, the new Aveo?

the sides and the nose just looks too 'radical' on the outside for me, just a personal thing. it just doesn't look like a GMC to me, i totally agree the gmc line shouldn't be building the urban cars.

I think it looks alright. Could use a pinch of work on the nose, but that interior is SPECTACULAR! Holy Mass Effect/Star Trek batman!! I'd drive it!

Um... it's definitely not yuppie. Where I live, yuppies have taken over, and trust me fortunately that "truck" ain't yuppie.

I definitely agree with you on the aspect of gmc being professional grade trucks, but gm screwed up when it comes to gmc. I mean, contractors prefer chevy and when it comes to people that like luxury, they prefer cadillac. So, gmc is basically stuck in the middle, nothing that special.
