Yeah doesn't it last 10 years as well? Im 18 and I actually consider it at a later date. Lasik though, laser is different, right? It is kind of scary though. I wear contacts but haven't in awhile. I've had glasses/contacts since 5th grade, (11)

Oh and I think mine was around $3000 for both.
Im curious, what age are you all that have got it done? Im 44 so what I am hearing about getting it done at my age doesnt sound like it will be all that easy.

I have heard that with the surgery you may have to go back and get it done again after some time maybe it was 10 years? Something about the muscles in your eyes weakening. A member on heres wife was talking about hers. She had it done years ago and had to go back.

My mom had it done... blind as a bat but now sees fine. She does need reading glasses though.

In the end, I think it depends on the person. I wear glasses if I want. I can see OK with out. I passed my last drivers exam without but to see perfect I toss my glasses on. I am sure it would be nice to see perfect all the time but not thousands of dollars worth. I will keep my glasses.

My eye Dr. does not recommend the current eye surgeries. She did say there are some newer ones on the horizon which will be much much safer and last your whole lifetime. I will wait on those and even then after the Dr.'s get more experience performing the surgery.

My mom had LASIK done a few years back. dad got lucky at the casino so we had an extra 2 grand to go towards the surgery. cant remember the actual price though.
but ever since my mom had it done her vision has been great. no problems at all, day or night.
it was fun though taking pictures when she had the bug eye like covers over her eyes for a while lol
