Word is....the 5.4L is also going to be replaced with some "yet determined" powerplant. For now they get the 150lb lighter weight Ford GT-sourced aluminum block which should be a substantial improvement.

I'm hangin' tight...there should be some sweet new parts in the Ford Racing catalog next year (5L 4V engine, new getrag based 6-speed, etc etc

) all of which will work in my current chassis.

Hard to believe the track-pack ADDS weight. My aftermarket swaybars, springs, dampers REMOVED weight from my car (hollow bars and much lighter springs).

As for the sequential taillights....uhhhh...riiiiicccceerrrr

You kinda hit the nail on the head here and this was the dealbreaker on trading my car in. They're putting the same damn powdered metal rods in the new motor effectively limiting the HP anyway. And at 11:1 compression how will it handle boost??? I can't feel good about trading my car in for one of these if it's not capable of 500+whp under boost. I'd just as soon swap a forged assy 5.4L into mine, or a DSS supermod 3V etc, etc.

I think Ford was just wanting to stay competitive with the Camaro by designing this quasi-cammer 4V with cheaper components. Defeinetely an improvement over the 3V but not a forged assy 3V so....

They seem to do JUST ENOUGH to stay somewhat competitive w/o killing the aftermarket...oh well. I'll sit back and watch the show.

Did you upgrade to 19" rims and 14" brembos too?

Nope. My mistake. I was thinking of the 08-10 track-pack which did not include 19's and brembo's, only dampers, springs, bars. That makes sense...

It is. It's the same My Color design that lit up the gauges in the 05-09 models. It's just been extended to the doors, cup holders, and above the pedals. It looks cool in purple.

It was pink in the press photos hey handed out.

I was shocked! Why make it such a horrible color in the press kit?

Good question, it's been blue or green in the past. On the website it shows a few of the colors I think.

Yep that pinkish color is ugly as hell, but the blue and red are cool as hell.

i don't know of any motor that comes with forged internals other than factory force induction engines. you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
