OH MY GOSH TOSHIBA SUX

I have been on hold over two hours and they keep disconnecting me. My laptop had a key that was not working so I sent it in two months ago. Finally found out it is on hold for "damage" When I did talk to someone they told me they would have to transfer me in order to get my laptop back. I cannot get through to anyone. I am so frustrated. I will NEVER EVER buy another Toshiba again. BEWARE. I have never had such a horrible experience with a computer. This is the third time I have had issues with the computer. BUT now they wont even send it back!!! What do I do? Their customer service sucks

I just want my laptop back! It is under warranty and has a key that is non responsive and they said it had damage. I am sick of waiting for them to do anything I want my laptop. The last man I talked to was supposed to be transfering me yet again and he couldnt even get through. I am so frustrated. Am I going to have to sue them to get my laptop back!@

Thanks for the info... we've been looking at laptops for our son. Now I know to pass this one over.

I've had three toshiba laptops and had no issues with them.

Then again, I do IT work for a living so I do most repairs myself.

My friend's gone through two hard drives on his Toshiba and has had a dozen other random problems. Switched to Apple this month.

Maybe I'm just lucky? I use an HP laptop now and my desktop is one I built myself.

Nothing more than obvious stuff. I stepped on my latest one once in the dark and had to replace a cracked screen. I've never had any more wear/tear issues than with any other computer manufacturer, and far fewer than some *cough*dell*cough*.

Seriously, if you expect a computer to be a rock that lasts forever and is impervious to damage, you're fooling yourself. Most computer components only have a designed lifespan of a few years.

My Toshiba was only 1 year old, My Dell is now 3 years old without a SINGLE problem..

Suggestion, don't leave your laptop in the floor, Unless you were climbing on your desk during the night you couldn't have stepped on it..

Heh. I wasn't complaining about it getting broken - just commenting that it was the only real repair I had to do. I have three toshibas. One is 3 years old, one is 5, and one is 8. All of them are running fine without any issues.

I'm not trying to say that yours haven't had problems or whatever. Just speaking from my own experience with my own computers and the computers I interact with at work. The dells we use at work have an issue about every 6 months.

Just my .02

When I worked we used Dells until last year, I had 3 Dells in 15 years. Not one hardware failure on any of those computers either, and they went 24hours a day 5 days a week for 5 years each.. based on my experience at work and home... I will stick with Dells...
