Directly from the Ford website and here is the paragraph from that page in case you can't find it.

Quote:
Borrowing from the Mustang GT, the Performance Package includes numerous suspension, braking and body stiffening upgrades to deliver unparalleled handling performance. That road-holding is helped by a near-equal front/rear weight distribution, providing exceptional transient response along with the car’s slimmed-down curb weight of less than 3,500 pounds.

The 5.0 engine is 10lbs heavier than the 4.6 liter according to Ford. The overall car shouldn't weigh too much more overall. I'm still waiting for a nice re-design, this body style is too over saturated. Ford would have done better had they come out with a fresh body design.

No official weight listed yet? Damn. Edmunds always seems to be way off so I wanted to hear something official.

EDIT: 3875 from Ford? That seems to be wrong I'd think.

Also, what's the gearing? Still 3.73 with the track pack?

Well, they did claim to have added bracing and structural foam to stiffen the car up, plus added brembos and mandatory 19" wheels to go with them.

I expect that Ford will weigh the "base" model, lacking Brembos, uses tiny wheels, has the bare minimum options, and it will weigh a bit more than the current car. Then all the fanboys will flood over to the Camaro forums and proclaim total domination. They will then place their orders and opt for the brembos and other goodies and wonder why they have trouble keeping up at the track.

Well, when the 2011 Stang comes out I'm going to have to slap them on the rear quarter panel and yell, "Easy there, Bessie!"

How much weight do you think the 19" rims will add?

no way will it gain that much weight..

Read here the engine weights 430 lbs
http://www.fordracing.com/news/detail/?article=37254

The current 4.6L 3 valve weights 420 lbs.

Bremdo's will weight a bit more that the stock calipers.
and the trans will weight a bit more that the current ones.
