New Mass Effect 2!

Yep! In just over a month, we get the awesome sequal to the great game Mass Effect, with ME 2 just on the Horizon! Jan 26 for a release, and pre-ordering through EB Games (Canada) and Gamestop (US) gets you a cool new armour and heavy weapon! It looks intense, i can't wait!





But i do hope we get to see the Asari and Turians again too!

Often wonder how does Gamestop get to add thing into games when you pre order?

lvls or weapons, cars or what not are they real official game addons or like a special cheat made just for them???

And can you only get those in game items from Gamestop?

The game creator will make special unlocks for certain reasons, most of being whomever sells the most copies of their game can get extras. Since EB Games/Gamestop are dedicated vid game shops, they get the unlocks to give away as they see fit!

So in reality after some time these unlock codes will make it out on the web and such, I don't have to get ME2 from them?

Ummm, no. They only have so many unlock codes to give out, so if someone throws one out, and you get it it will work, but if the code has been activated/used already, you get nothing. You would have to find somebody thats giving theirs away, and nobody has used it yet.

It is already comfirmed that you will meet Garrus again, don't know if he's playable. There is also an Asari biotic character.

I am personally excited because Tali is a playable again, and she was pretty awesome. She had great dialogue and was a good "Multi-Purpose" character

EDIT: I know I am jumping the gun, but I am pretty confident that one of the top 3 games of 2010 is coming out and named Mass Effect 2. I just don't see how this game can be anything but good.

lol, i never used tali once. I stick with Garrus and Wrex the whole game with my pure soldier. I have a biotic soldier too that i just started out with. So i don't know where i'm going with him.

And i played through like 8 times! I'm working on insane with my lvl 60 right now... they're not kidding. It's insane...

But the Pinnacle Station dl seems pretty interesting.


It seems to look like 2 is going to use more ammo based weapons rather then heat... I'm going to suck, because all i do is spray with the assault rifle.

I absolutely LOVE Mass Effect 1, and I agree... I don't see how ME2 can be anything BUT great!

Oh yea, i see 10 slots for teammates, and that lovely dark haired girl in the vid (above) seems to be available too. Although i don't know whats going on with the armour system, cuz half of the vids i see, the people are just wearing clothes as "armour". Or in the case of Subject Zero, uh... straps.

When I first started the game and ran into this biotic commandos for the first time, they lifted up all the cover I was hiding behind and summarily destroyed me (though really I hadn't learned the combat system yet, so that didnt help) After that I ALWAYS had one of the biotic team mates with me to do that exact same move on all my enemies

Tali is incredibly useful for hacking and other such, and some of her tech abilities are very effective.

Getting her up to 'shotgun killah' level is nice too.

I'm going to suck, because all i do is spray with the assault rifle.

Doesn't bother me; I tend to prefer the pistol over almost everything else.
