A Word of Advice for Photos of ur Maro

Maybe I am a conspiracy nut but I would suggest to all who post pictures of their cars: Edit out ur license plate or put a piece of paper over it when u snap the pic.

There are way too many wacko's out there and who knows if they troll this site. With ur plate information and the services available on the internet..BAM..the wacko has ur registered address and can visit when u least expect it.

Just like everybody you drive by on the street, park by at the mall and at work.

Seriously, if someone wants your address, it's not all that hard to get. If someone wants to delete their plate, that's probably the best bet, but you can't cover it up driving down the street. Just as many people likely to get it that way.

Funny you should mention this topic. I have noticed that some people "blur or block out" their license plates before posting here, while others don't.

Personally, I don't understand why some do? You can't legally block it while driving down the road......

I wouldn't worry bout the vin..I dont really worry bout the plate either..was wondering what kind of responses I would get.

I know it might seem a bit paranoid, but in a world where people have their homes broken in to as a result of posting on Facebook that they are taking a vacation, a cautious approach to posting information can't hurt.
