Heh, well I'm looking into just saving up for an engine build (LSX376 based) but I want it to have the old school look, so I want to keep the top-mounted air cleaner and whatnot. But, in order to do that and still have fuel injection I'd need to have a top mount throttle body.

Edelbrock makes some (1000 cfm, 1600 cfm, and 2000 cfm) but basically I'd have to buy a LS1/LS3 carburetor intake manifold and add the rails/injectors myself.

Hmm, I believe the ports on the heads are different, but maybe Spike can chime in.

EDIT: You don't want to use an LS1 manifold anyway. If you're using a Gen III intake, go with the LS6. Way less restrictive. So much so that all of the 00-02 Fbodies came from the General with LS6 intakes.

No no no no no. I want to use an aftermarket carburetor intake, and I'm basically wondering if I can use the edelbrock LS1 intake (250 bucks) instead of the GMPP LS3 intake (500 bucks). Either should flow better than a stock LS1 (or, according to edelbrock's website, an LS6) intake.
