The Camaro is definately a better all around car (slightly faster - stock vs stock, 100% better looking, much better wheel and tire combination, etc, etc).
But I have to agree with you about the interior. The GTO has an excellent interior. The GTO seats are the most comfortable seats out there. When you drive a GTO, the comfort level is similar to a very high dollar Lexus, etc.

It's really no different then people running down the mustang on here all the time. A lot of the time they are misinformed and just ranting. But, what do you really expect, it's a camaro forum? Just like that site is for the gto. Their's true cars guys and then their's fanboys . And I don't mean fanboy as just being partial to one make ,but bashing everything that isn't their love with or without the facts to back it up.

Ok, this thread is no more worst or better then when you guys complain about mustangs opinions or when the mustang guys say stuff about the camaro. One thing I will agree with on the OP post over at the GTO forums is that this car doesn't like hard turns. I will admit stock for stock the GTO feels and handles a lot better when taking hard turns at high speeds. This is my opinion and after having a GTO for the past 4 years and owning the Camaro since production begin, I would think I could give an honest assesment of what these cars do good and bad. The camaro does feel very heavy and not as nimble as the GTO and its because of its wider wheelbase that it feels that way.

Oh yeah my GTO is now a drag only car and will eat most cars including our camaros up real fast.

I don't mind the look of the GTO. But for them to openly rag on it is ridiculous. I'm sure the GTO had its far share of problems on its first year back. The Mustang has better handling only if you get the Track Pack, but everything else about it is sub par to the Camaro.

I can totally see how full screen visual GPS navigation/mp3/cd changer/satellite radio/microsoft sync system, heated full power driver/pass. seats, soft touch interior, and a factory option for a log axle that beats an IRS in the handling department and right behind the SS with 111hp is sub-par

pretty sub-par bro lol

i love the gto. it was between the gto or the 5th gen camaro. the gto is an awesome car and would be more affordable since its older, but the camaro is still a camaro. so i guess im going with the camaro.

g8 for the win. updated 4 four door version of the gto. just a tiny bit kinda like the old charger and the new charger srt8.

Regardless of your opinions about the GTO, that thread is ridiculous. One guy even talks about how nobody is excited about the Camaro and dealers in his area can't even get them off the lots! Seems like hater threads always talk about how they "really wanted to like this car" but they just can't. I'm guessing the truth is more like..."I really want to buy a new car, but I don't want to/can't spend the money. Maybe I will just convince myself it is crap instead." Anyway, remember when the new GTO's first came out and everybody was waving at you and taking pictures at gas stations? Oh wait, nobody ever did that.
