Its not hard. The biggest hurdle for new shooters is to slow down. They get caught up in being "fast enough" to shoot the clays but don't realize that if they just think about it, the clays will come to them. Not really a need to lead (the pellets will get to the clay in less than 1/10 of a second), aim a bit low to account for recoil (especially on a 20 inch barrel like mine has) and wait for the clay to come to you. Hit percentages will go up dramatically.

Nice new sig, BA.

Thank ya Haven't gone clay shooting in a while. Just bought a lil 22 rifle from scheels a couple weeks ago though, $100. Semi auto too, its a good lil plinker/squirrel hunting rifle.

Um... no?

A plastic infrared gun is nothing like a real one.

One of these days I'm going to have my barrel tapped so I can put choke tubes in it... I like the cylinder (great for home defense if I ever need it) but I'd rather have something like an improved modified for clay shooting. Thats something for a gunsmith to do though. For now, I'm happy with it.

P.S. - I have the 20 inch model: http://www.maverickarms.com/pages/88security.htm

Basically a Mossberg 500 but without the tang safety and without the solid firing assembly. But, since it'll never see combat duty I'm perfectly ok with it the way it is. It will still probably never fail.
