Good ideas, see that's my dilemma, we usually spend about that each but this year decided to keep it to a budget of no more than like 150, so I'm stumped

Yea I can understand that... both of us buy ourselves just about anything we want / need so it makes gift giving extremely difficult

The way I see it, if you're just barely asking her out, DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT get her anything expensive. If you guys become something more than just friends and you get her something beyond belief, you will condition her to expect similar and even more expensive things in the future.

If you really want to knock them out, this is what I did the first Xmas I was with my g/f...

I made a cover page that said "Do You Remember..." I then went to our old junior college and took a picture of the classroom where we met. I put that picture on the second page and wrote "The place we met?" For the next page, I took a picture of Taco Bell, our first "lunch date". I did about 15 pages of this stuff. She absolutely loved it. Cost of materials, about $5. Value of her appreciation: priceless!!!

For the ones that are "seeking" said lady, there used to be a Precious Moments figurine with the boy and girl putting a heart-shaped puzzle together and the message on it that says, "Let's put the pieces together..."
