I took it to a repair shop and they told me that my AC adaptor/charger was fluctuating wildly in the power it was giving my laptop and that a possible surge had knocked my computer out. They didn't know at the time if any damage was possibly done. Cross your fingers for the both of us.

Was it plugged into a surge protector? because if not, shame shame

I just thought of another problem that i discovered while messing with it. My DVD drive refused to open while the computer was supposedly on, so i started to take it out i removed the IDE cable connected to it, and "Presto" it opened right up. so my disc drive only opens when power only is connected to it, then when i plug the IDE cable back in, it refuses to open. It used to work fine.

Well, I was having a similar problem with the computer at my office, for a while I couldn't even get it to boot up. What I later discovered was that the power strip I had was bad, and looks like it sent a weird surge into my system or something, luckily it just reset the clockspeed on the processor. When the computer first boots up, check the speed of the processor, if it is at like.... 1250 or something, your processor is messed up and just needs the clockspeed reset. You can do that in the BIOS. My bet is when you were transporting the system it got caught in some sort of electrical field or some other random thing and reset something like the clockspeed.
