I like the outward appearance of the challenger SLIGHTLY more than the camaro, but the Challenger is slower and more expensive than the Camaro. Also it is a Dodge so I question the quality more than any other make. The interior (after all, the interior is what you will see the most of when you own any car) is not near what a Camaro interior is, or what it should be.
Last but not least, why in the hell did they have to take the steering wheel directly off the 300 old man family car and put it on this so called "Muscle Car"? Everytime I look inside a challenger I want to puke over this afterthought. It is almost as if they spent years and millions designing the car and the last thing left to do was the steering wheel. At this point, they were spent both mentally and financially. The only thing left do design on the car was the steering wheel so they just said "To hell with it, just put the 300 wheel on and let's be done here".
No question the Camaro wins in all categories hands down, even though the challenger's exterior may or may not look as good. Performance numbers and price are black and white factual figures that cannot be disputed. Asthetics are a pure matter of opinion.....

My opinion is that the Challenger looks best, then the Camaro, then the Mustang.

The Challenger in my opinion has the best retro look out there.

It is called presentation and tact and both you are lacking sorely. Can't come onto a Camaro forum and start saying, "WAAHH My Camaro sucks and I sold it for a Challenger that is far superior!" What the hell did you think was going to happen? Start an intelligent discussion about the Challenger and you will receive intelligent responses (mostly). GM did to the Camaro what they typically do with cars in their fleet of popular heritage/stature; they take "cues," that's right "cues" from their previous generations of cars so they have some of the styling that made their cars what they were. Say, you could look at a Corvette from today and be asked to look at those Corvettes of 50 years ago and easily identify it. The cars are different but the cues are true to their style. The Camaro is no different. It wasn't supposed to be a retro car. If I wanted a Challenger from 40 years ago, I would have bought a '69 Challenger and not a carbon copy 2009.

The Camaro was infused with these "cues" and updated everything else about the car. The handling, performance, horsepower, On-Star, Bluetooth, heated seats. You name it. The Challenger, not even the SRT8 can hold a candle to the final product of what the Camaro is and will be. If you like the Challenger, then we're happy for you. If you are into 100% retro styling in the new era of American muscle, than you made the right choice. You only made somebody else a Camaro lover and likely they'll appreciate the car much more than you ever could. Stick with Dodge and get your trolling butt off these forums because sympathy is not what you are getting from any one of us and those that do can join you in your rude, sick, twisted and uninformed little world.

C5 Happy!

Are you on the right forum? There is no dilemma here, love the Camaro and would not look back. We also like the Challenger and might get one in the next year or two. After we looked over both cars we bought the C5 first.
I think there is a Hemi web site around here some where.

I am just curious why you would come on a CAMARO forum, just to say (essentially ) that the Challenger is a better than the Camaro.

WTF?

Go to a Challenger forum to spout that. Its like going on the Chicago Bears forum and saying, I am Bears fan and they are ok, but the Vikings are really awesome and I think I like them more"

Did you not compare before you shelled out 30K+- for a new car. MY wife and I looked over both and the clear winner was the C5. I tried looking at a Mustang but she wouldn't get out of the car...she wanted the C5. Challenger is nice but...really, you wish you took the 60 day return option.

My only issue with the Challenger is the weight and size. Its just too bulky for my taste. And why do I need to go to a v8 to go 300+ HP? If I can get that with a v6, I am in Nirvana.

Lighter car, with an efficient go go engine....Camaro FTW in my book!

+1 If they scaled down the size and made it lighter it would be much better. The other complaint I have is the the stock pistons are weak and have the rings way too close to the top of the piston. That is what makes me so weary of forced inductions on those engines.
