Lightbulb HELP,... Where Is The Best Online Place or Places To Sell Your Vehicle At?

Hi Everyone,...
I have less than 2 months to try and sell my vehicle before my Black 2SS is made and delivered to the Dealership at which time I will be forced to give up my vehicle to them at the Trade-In Price that we had come up with at the time I ordered my Camaro.

So far the places that I can think of off the top of my head are Cars.com, AutoTrader.com and I've heard of people selling their Vehicles on Gregg's List but when you do so you get a lot of Spam in doing so,... I dont know if you get a lot of Spam via the Telephone or eMail but if it's email I have no problem with getting a new email address just for this purpose, I just dont want a bunch of Spammers calling my house phone, That could get out of control quickly.

I know you can sell your vehicle on eslave (eBay) but they're kind of expensive I've heard. Cars.com is $29.xx for 14 Days and even runs ads in your local News Paper for I think 8 Days, AutoTrader is I think $59.xx for 30 Days with no News Paper Ads, and of course Gregg's Listings are Free.

What places have you heard of and or what places have you heard of are the Best?

Any Help Would Be Very Much Appreciated.

Thank You.
RCPW A.K.A. Jim

I had great success on craigslist. Used only my email on the listing to weed out any unwanted telephone calls. 2 hours after posting my car for sale, I had a hit and the guy bought it the next day. I also had great luck selling an old desk on craigslist.

Craigslist......not, Greggslist. Sorry, just made me laugh.

I sold a 2000 Dakota R/T show truck on AutoTrader.com in two weeks time to buy my Camaro. Before that I had it sold twice on eBayMotors.com but both times it was up for auction the winning bidders completely flaked on following through with the purchase. So I'd stay clear of eBayMotors, IMHO.

Ebay is $20 to list and $125 fee when you sell it. But I think they waive the $20 listing fee for your first 4 vehicle listings.

Honestly you will get the most money on ebay if you do an auction and stand firm on finishing it auction style. Research on ebays completed listings what similar vehicles are actually selling for, Set a reserve price, and start bidding at $1 to generate interest. Lowballers will email you constantly, just tell em sorry auction, cya. I sell cars for people on ebay and charge $250, and have had plenty of happy customers.

Craigslist. Be sure the price is right, write a really good description, take good pictures, use e-mail only, deal with local buyers only, accept only cash.

Man eBay Makes a Ton-O-Money Don't They? Even more when they bought PayPal. That was a Very Smart move on their part. They have so much money rolling in, eBay seems Very Confusing to me to sell a vehicle on their for some reason even though it probably isnt by far and then trying to collect your money from someone I wouldnt want to go thru PayPal for that, Thats forsure hehe,...

Christiancoach,...

I checked out Craigslist as you know and the listings seem pretty basic and straight forwards,... I have a question for you and maybe for anyone else who might know the answer please,...

When posting a listing there, Does their site accept HTML code?

Can i copy and paste the code from Microsoft Expression Web (The New MS Frontpage) in to the listing for Craigslist like you can for eBay?

If I can do that then,... That'll help to make my listing for my vehicle a lot better than just a paragraph of text listing my vehicle information and stuff.

Thanks for your Help Guys.

Jim

They don't make you use paypal for car payments. They do allow you to set it up to take a deposit for the car though. I really never have mush of a problem, they bid they win, they come and get the car and bring cash, or send a bank check or wire transfer, we clear it, then they come get the car.
