ugh - I thought I'd be a good sport and go see it with my girfriend: WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! The whole sparkle thing is just plain stupid. And it was a full on Michael Jackson-type sparkly to make it worse. You want a good vampire movie, go watch Interview With a Vampire...

And it didn't help that 8 of 9 previews BEFORE the movie even started were all for romantic mushy movies :shudder:

just saw the first one becaus eI was REALLY bored at work. The movie wasn't terrible (read star wars episode 1 and 2) and the acting wasn't bad, but the thing that annoyed me most.

"I don't want to turn you because you're my drug, but I don't want to be around you because I'm afraid I can't stop myself."

Down the road, not across the tracks. Stop being a pansy, emo, whiner...

I don't know if I'll watch the second one, but I'm didn't pay to watch the first one, I sure as hell am not paying to watch the second one.

Wow. Well I really liked the books - the movies are pretty good too.

This is a romantic love story that just happens to have werewolves and vampires. What's not to like?

The only thing that might be stupid is the whole "teeny bop" "Twi-hard" fans that are turning this into some sort of "New Kids on the Block" revolution.

Other than that - the movies are good.

Welll....

...it isn't really a romantic love story, unless you find constantly having to run from vampires who think you smell delish romantic. Unless you find a guy who is hundreds of years old who would have absolutely zilch in common w/ you romantic. (Hundreds of years old and she's what, 17? Kinda ew, isn't it?)

This is faux-deep mallgoth tripe of the lowest order. If Aby wasn't so sweet I'd deduct points for her liking it.

I'll let it slide, though. THIS time.
