it was how much i needed left for my down payment (12k)... because my car was supposed to be done in late march/april... but GM at random pulled my car to fill a hole and so its going to be here early... so my parents are going to make up the difference in what i have left and then i am going to pay them instead of putting the money in savings....

Ehh.. I am not that worried about it. With the holidays upon us and wea re going on a cruise here soon so thats a food fest... after the first the wife and I are buckling down. We both put on a few this past year and we want to lose it. We dont have much a problem losing weight. We can stick to a routine pretty good and we will lose it in a few months. They say 2-3 lbs a week is all you want to lose. Anything else is too fast. So even at the low end and 20 lbs... 10 weeks... big whoop.
