ZR1. It was faster on the test track and a lot more fun to drive.

Also, search youtube for R8 ZR1 top gear and it should come up. Thats what I did.

A number of testers do agree with Clarkson that cars like the Audi or GTR are not much fun on a road course. You just get in and point them and they do the driving. There seems to be more skill required in cars like the Vette and the Viper. There's more satisfaction when you put in a good lap because you did it and not the car.

BTW, putting the car sideways through the corners is not the fast way around a road course as demonstrated by the Stig's time verses Clarkson's however entertaining it is.

Thats one of my favorite things on the new audis, porsches are doing it to now

It's an Audi trademark...kinda like BMWs angel eyes. Have you seen an Audi with these in person/on the road, yet? Just curious.

I also think they proved that in the hands of an experienced driver, the ZR1 will knock your socks off. It when you try to floor it around a turn like an idiot (Clarkson.......!!) that the car "misbehaves".
