Rauchbier is a German beer - a little sweet and rather malty. The thing that makes it distinct is that the malt is dried over an open flame instead of in a kiln. It gives the beer a smokey flavor.

In fact, rauchbier means "smokebeer" in english. There are some American smokebeers that emulate the style.

Nope, the fact that you refer to beer as booze. We usually use booze to refer to the stronger stuff - like vodka.
