Interesting. Not as flattering from this vantage point.

That back end is really high. I want to see a ground view. Who photographed this?

It almost looks like a hatch from this vantage point. However, SOOOOO much better than the Prius.

My guess is the back hatch will have a window, similar to the Prius.

I think it looks good so far. I like the color too.

Most of us may never own a Volt, and it won't make GM much money, but it will pay big dividends to all GM products in lessons learned on weight reduction, aerodynamics, etc.

Video of the Volt being driven...

This has to be a gas-powered car right? It can't be battery powered yet...can it?

You know, I enjoy Transformers and am a GM fan just like many of us. Does it seem to anyone else, that GM is using Transformers as a 2 hour commercial to anyone else?

Though it does seem kind of appropriate. The original G1 cartoons were basically 30 minutes toy commercials, so they haven't strayed too far from the original concept.

Note: Not meant as a complaint, just a typed observation. Plain and simple, just about any advertisement they get out about their new products is a good one, especially if it gets people to buy them.

Well in the video, they show a good shot of the back of the car and it says Volt.

Nope. It's got a lot of Volt-characteristics. Short rear overhang, panoramic glass, and there's a picture of the rear that has VOLT spelled out.

Yeah, but it's such a good way to get people's attention about GM. Like with the Camaro.

It's an "extended range" electric vehicle. Meaning it has both a gas and electric engines but runs primarily on battery with a range of up to 40 miles. Once your juice runs out you run on gas, then charge up at home later.

Like you said, it's exposure for GM products and increases their visibility through a blockbuster film that's sure to have a wide audience, including many prospective car buyers. Along with the excitement of the movie this will also create buzz for the products and what better cars to feature than domestics many Americans can feel proud to own, especially the Volt. The ladder I can say after having seen this video I'd DEFINITELY consider, so as long as I could get some nice GM accessories wheels similar to the ones on the car in the film.
