Wow, that's great!

I hated internal medicine, but mostly because where I interned at was inner city and it was more pain management and handing out prescriptions for narcotics to every patient!

I do get to practice some IM in the ED though... we have an observation unit where we manage diabetic ketoacidosis... which is scary because normally that is an ICU admission!!
