One good thing about trading a camaro is we got a good deal. I would post pic's but I doubt anybody would care on here.
Let's see it guy! Post 'em if you got 'em.

see that's what's called a sleeper and when someone enhances the car beyond the stock parameters and blows your doors off,you might begin to wonder why was I so dumb to think it was just a ford taurus?

Tell that to Supra and 350Z owners!
Supra 3 liter Inline 6(I've seen over 1000RWHP)
350 Z 3.5 V-6(oVER 1000RWHP
bear in mind you have to completely rebuild the motor with forged internals and beef up the trans and rear end but to say a turbocharged 6 banger can't make any power will leave you eating dust.

I drove the taurus SHO and thought it was just ok. I also test drove the G8 GT and the CTS V.

CTS V
G8 GT
SHO

My preference in that order. There is no way you'd be satisfied with the SHO..l

The awd drive system is primarily a fwd where the rear wheels get some power. Take a turn....give the car some throttle and you'll never want for a taurus sho over a camaro or a G8...

the chassis was pretty upset when the throttle gets hammered.

Need a sedan? then buy a g8 gt or a gxp...and if you got more cash...go for the CTS V..

Now thats a product to buy.

But, I don't think its for sale yet. It really doesn't matter though that's what my ss if for. It's completely loaded and really as long as my wife is fine with it as so am I. I would like to take some pics and post, but I really don't want to get flamed. It's really just a family car when it comes down to it.
I saw that tune, I think a 12.75,right? Well, I wouldn't suggest getting it, if I remember correctly, the guy tuned the car, ran the quarter mile, and then switched back to stock in order to ensure that his car's engine didn't blow. It wasn't safe/reliable at all, I would think you would need at least intake with full dual turboback exhaust to hit the high 12's, with a tune, and still be safe.

FORD SHO

The EgoBoost V6 engine gets near the same fuel mileage as a Camaro SS V8.

The SHO is rated at 17/25 mpg, and a week's worth of our lead-footing yielded 18.9. (Motor Trend)

I have a feeling if the CTS V was on the table as an option, they'd probably get that. However between a g8 and an SHO- g8s aren't in production anymore so you've already taken a hit buying an 09 in the 10 model year- if you can even find one. And it appears the OP still has an SS and this is AWD for off season. Seems like a well thought out choice for their situation.

Problem is that the G8 is effectively a four door Camaro with far less interesting styling, and most folks who actually are in the market for a large sedan in this price range don't want a four door Camaro. In terms of luxury and features the Taurus bests the G8 by a huge margin, with the SHO well and truly being a luxury car....and luxury is exactly what the majority of people buying cars like this want. To be fair a lot of folks buying in this segment also want power, but as the SHO delivers here too there can be little doubt that the SHO comes closer to the sweet spot of the large car segment than the G8 GT or GXP ever did.

Your right on with that asessment. That's why we got it. My partner has Three different bmws and he couldn't believe how well done this SHO was.
Very high quality car in a much higher class then a g8

See thats where you are wrong because I will look at them an not even engage, why you ask because its a family sedan car and I'm not interested in trying to run with a sedan. It's no different then all the hoped up trucks pulling up next to me and then speeding off, I let them be. Why, because a sports car just looks down running against anything thats not in its category class.

See there you go making up stuff. The tune was safe and reliable. The car still has the tune on it. He actually has some more things planned. I am a member of the forum he posts on so stop telling stories if you don't know what's going on.

This. I am alsp a member on that forum and this is not the case. The car you are referring to was a SHO off the truck they they tuned and ran down the track, then took it off. That was a bit ago.

Beefcake ran the 12.75. His car wasn't taken off a truck to run. What guy are you talking about.
