They are challenging anyone to play them, but no one has really accepted the offer, looks like they might be screwed this year unless someone up top screws up big time.

I'd really love a playoff.

Go with 7, 12 team, 2 division conferences. Each has a conference championship game.

Conference champs get an auto bid in the playoff. Highest ranked team not already in gets in as a wild card.

Acquire three more big sponsors so each playoff game plus the NC can be sponsored on a rotating basis.

I saw that but dont see it happening.......If he left the OU faithful would burn down the state of Oklahoma.

He has to much going for him in Oklahoma as well. If he even mentioned that he was stepping down and heading to ND OU would make him the highest paid Coach out there.

Gator fan here...but don't believe Florida has what it takes to win another national championship, and for one reason...TEBOW. Every since his concussion, he has played like crap. You may disagree, but try watching the games. I have watched every single one of them. He has made stupid mistakes one after another, continuously. I believe they need to put in back up Danny Brantley. When Tebow was taken out of the UK game, Brantley played well. Well enough that I think that he can carry the team to the championship and win it.

I do believe the Gators will get to the championship, because..well, they only play one ranked team for the rest of the season, Alabama. I don't think Alabama is as good as advertised. I have also watched 2 or 3 of their games, and the two I watched, they barely won. Two games that they should of lost, but backed into with wins because of luck.

I'd like to see Cincy make it, but it won't happen. For the simple fact that they don't play a conference championship...Florida will beat Alabama in the SEC Championship game, and Texas will beat Neb. I think it is, in their Big 12 Championship game. Cincy will follow in 3rd.

I say Texas will win the championship...17-13 over Florida. Truth be told, I also think Texas is overrated. Definitely not the same potent Texas from last year. I just don't think there are any really really strong teams this year. Like I said...championship game prediction...Texas 17 Florida 13.

I agree they need to take Tebow out and let him Rest but I say do it up until the Bama "SEC" game then after that game if you Win let him take the whole month off before the NC game and Rest bu then he shhould be back to normal.

I dont know if his concusion is holding him back or the loss of his offensive cordinator is finally weighing in on him. Tebow is a leader and right now he is carrying the team on his Back for sure. I do respect the guy....I just hope he doesnt take a hit and hurt himself.

As for us "TEXAS" No we are not the same offense as we were last year we lost quan cosby at WR but replaced him at WR with Jordan shipley.
Our Running game has not been big since 07 when we had jamal charles.
We have changed our offensive more towards a passing offense this year and Colt has been told to not Run as much.

As for the rest of the Team....special teams has gotten a lot better pretty much like they were in 2005.
Deffense is the best we have had in decades and thats what TEXAS is
smash you in the face put the qb on his back every chance you get rush every down and secondary man up.
We got smaller in some area's and Faster at ever position and the best part
100% perfect condition and fit. Usually by the 4th qtr teams are gasping for air and we are still running in circles around them.

however we still got 2 games left in the season and we got to remember we have been here before 06 and 08 and we got to finish. If we get the chance to make a NC game that would be awsome however we got 2 more games.
I'm not so worried about Kansas but thanksgiving night we have Texas aTm no they are not real good this year but its a rival game " THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP AND PLAY TEXAS "

Keep in mind 10 years ago a highly ranked Texas team went into college station to play a very banged up Aggie squad who had no won many games before hand. There anual bon fire colapsed and that gave that aggie team something to where they came out and pulled off a win.
This is the 10 years aniversary and nothing would make there year but to beat us.
2 years ago they beat us when we had a great offense however our deffense wasnt the best then.

Maybe. Urban will end up at ND at some point in time, he's already talked about it being his dream job.......... but not until his kids are out of school in Florida (4 years)

BTW here is my take on why the Gators have an advantage over Texas should that be the outcome in the championship game.

1. Preparation is key here. Regular season is forgotten, it can't help you anymore. You have over a month to prepare for a single game.

2. We have the best Secondary in Football, and Texas doesn't look like they have a running game that can hurt us. We have 6 starting linebackers for 3 spots. We shuffle linebackers like a deck of cards which keeps us with fresh legs to stop the run the whole game. Combine that with THE best corner combination in football, and two great safeties and your going to give Offenses a lot of trouble. Ignore the fact that we have two NFL Draft 1st round defensive ends, one projected in the top 5, that will get to the QB at some point in that game. We are effective against the run, and we are very effective against the pass. For Texas to win that game Colt is going to need 100+ yards running... and I think getting to T-off on little Colt McCoy running around would just make Brandon Spike's day.

3. Tebow vs. Colt. Same thing as Tebow vs. Bradford. One throws a prettier ball, one win's games. More things can go wrong with throwing the ball than running for 1st downs. Luckily for Tebow he can do both if Texas decides to step up and take away the run, and with over a months preparation you better believe that our NC stuff will be better than our Regular season stuff.

4. Schedule. UF has had to fight for win's the whole year long. Texas hasn't had a close call win with a decent opponent the whole year, and I think that will hurt them. UF is used to playing in tight games and having to fight for 60 minutes, our Defense is used to making big impact plays and our Offense is great at feeding off that. I know that can be said for nearly any team, but look at it this way.... At the beginning of the year, everyone is talking about how Epic UF is going to be..... and every team we play circled us on the schedule. Some of those teams have been studying our film since the off-season. Every game we get our opponents best game, and its only going to help us in what will turn out to be a close NC game. Not to mention our Special teams................. We have had 2 punt's returned against us the whole year. Not for touchdowns... but for positive yards. 2 the whole year.
