Let me start with this 1, since it close as it gets to 5th gen related.

A proof of concept model.

Basically you take a 3rd gen Roc Z, sit in the back seat, then pull the front back till you can reach comfy, then weld. A real roadster, no doors or top, if it rains, drive faster.

Now it could use some refinment but was fun giving it a go in plastic.

many more pics

Ill just post my build projects as their own post.

And your lucky its only 2, well 3 if you include the one snap model.

We do crafts for xmas, done it all and it got ubar boaring.

I said lets do models, bought some, then remembered how detailed n teadious it can get if you do it right. I then went n got snap ones for craft time

Here she is the 70 Buick GSX
-----------------

Adventures in model building

Ok so I remember why I stopped doing this as a kid.
Its way to much detail to get it done right or as right as I would like.
I did try how ever but in the end I said F it.

So I said screw the right way to do a GSX.

First thing was to yank off the stock intake and GSX air cleaner.
Then played with it and the high-rise manifold it comes with.
Its that 2 n1 kit to make a real GSX or a racer with dual carbs sticking out the hood.

Tried it a few way and then thought hey, I got a 2 n 1 64 GTO kit too.
Pop it open and I see a blower and a 3 duce setup in its kit.

The blower looked like the ticket but how do I rig up the belts to looks close to right.
So with some playing I got something that could look real.
Had to lose the Alt to tie in the blower belt set up but it’s a race car right?
Other side ties in near the PS pump and used the chrome shifter form the GTO to make a bracket to hold the pulley on that side. Trying to make it real as possible like it should be there.

So I have the high-rise tunnel ram intake on it, with a blower on top of that.
With the highrise carb plat on top of that, and then dual carbs with velocity stacks.

I had to do allot of trimming on the high-rise hood that came in the kit to make room for both the blower and belt, so it could open and not just be a lift off racer hood.

Other mod was using the bigger tires on the rear with the GSX rims.
I also liked the GSX side skirt grafix over the standard.
Hood and wing will stay in primer, no mirrors.

Here is the rest of the big stuff.

The blank box is a really old 70 Buick GSX model with ubar rare metal parts.
Now there is a company who still makes metal parts but they over saturated their brand. As a running theme here of allot of Buick stuff as its more rare, harder to find, worth atleast as much as the original price or more forever.
Two 1:26 ones on top I got dirt cheap after xmas.

Anything Buick = more money. [see bottom pic]

Ever see an old Buick that looks 90% rust rotted, rolled down a hill n set on fire, can still fetch some coin.

He made about $800 off this after cost.
