If you want GM performance with room G8 .

IYO it's ugly, and that's just it, it's your opinion. I think it would have been better if they had made the Lumina SS but I liked my G8, just not as much as my Mustang.

I would say a performance sedan running 21.7 from just a tune is pretty good HP being put out.

The only problem with this is I'm betting the ecoboost isn't any cheaper than the 6.2 or coyote or whatever the replacement will be. So it wouldn't really fit between- so I'm thinking it would just simply not be used.

Ford loves there special editions though, so maybe some sort of 3300lb 'rs' style mustang with a 380hp turbo'd 6. That'd be a monster.

I have little kids and they would rather be in the Camaro.
The Taurus is a nice car though.

You hit the nail on the head, absolutely no doubt that the Ecoboost V-6 is a more expensive piece than either V-8.

Mentioned it elsewhere a couple of times, Shelby is absolutely considering a Vegas-built GT350 revival that more or less right hits your 'RS' formula right on the button with one difference, it wont be 380hp if they do it.

Well guys, I sure I'll get flamed here , but we drove the sho last night and today were trading the wifes camaro and her explorer on it. It's a great car. My wife loves the fact that she has more power then the camaro, all wheel drive, and back to four doors for hauling the kid. The interior in this car is very high end and well thought out. Fit and finish of the entire car is world class. Don't flame too hard because I still have my SS and it's not going anywhere.

Yeah, it'd be a terrible decision to go to a sedan that happens to be a Ford that happens to have 350+hp stock. I mean, who would really want a car, that with a little money would be easily a mid 12 second car?

To the op, go for it. A guy over at svtp.com has a SHO and is running mid 12 second 1/4's. Pretty quick car. For being almost stock, and for being a family sedan.
