how about because he liked watching HEE HAW......because On the show, that was the phone number of "JUNIOR SAMPLE SALES"!!

Always thought that was an odd name for a band, never knew it came from Hee Haw. After looking it up on Wikipedia, I may have to find a couple of episodes to watch/buy.

I was raised on HEE HAW, Buck Owens and Roy Clark every Sat night. Those girls were hot and dressed like that before there was a Daisy Duke.

Yea this is where he got it from but the strange thing is it actually worked. Whenever one of the grand kids or great grand kids would be bad, he would tell them to behave because he had Santa's phone number and he could call him and tell him how bad they was being. If one of them said anything about it not being the right number, he would hand them the phone and tell them to dial that number. The phone would actually ring, but none of us was brave enough to wait until someone picked up to see who was on the other side.
