No, DaveO he isn't. His mother was lab, and his dad was a chow, if you can believe it. He doesn't really look chow, except he has a couple blue spots on his tongue, and his hair is more reddish blonde. But he sure acts like a lab. When he started chewing everything i asked a vet and she confirmed that's their behavior. Plus i think he knew he was a retriever before i ever threw a ball.

Ahhh...I see...and yea, the facial fur color, is the main reason I could tell he wasn't pure lab....

I don't know. He's sweet with other animals. He got attacked in the park last year, and didn't fight back. He never barks at other dogs when i walk him. He didn't bark for the longest time, but now everytime someone walks past the gate he barks. I guess it's territorial. If someone stops and talks to him he stops. But he really has no experience with cats. He's actually caught two birds in the back yard, picked them up in his mouth, but didn't kill them. I don't think he'd intentionally hurt anything.
