That would be so cool! A total contrast to its competitors.

Hehehehe...could you see that magazine review? Volt v. Prius...

Volt:
0-60, 5.6 seconds.

Prius, um...waiting.........

"We enjoyed the Volt half of this comparison review, unfortunately...everytime we attempted to benchmark the Prius, we burst out laughing at the ridiculousness of what we were attempting to do."

Way of the Volt? No.

Almost a year later from the first time I saw this and yes...I'd still rock that car.
Any reason we can't get the cameras instead of mirrors on all cars now though? Its such a good idea I can't understand why it isn't allready used.

Cost. A mirror probably costs all of $50 a piece to produce and install, if even that high. A good camera that's compact and will get you a good picture while surviving in the elements (wind, rain, ice, heat, etc), plus all the wiring, interior flat-panel screens, and programming required to run the system would probably jack that price up to $200 or more...On a Cadillac, that's acceptable.

Still, I think it's really cool, too!

Yeah, I get that. But if I had the option when buying my car as far as I'm concerned its money well spent. I'd certainly pay $200 for that rather than a $200 fuel door.

Apparently it was never even very far into development. Plus, adding all the Cadillac amenities would've brought electric-only range to around 20 miles which basically defeats the purpose.

Cadillac's redirecting resources towards PHEVs and other hybrid stuff.

grrr......Darn all the sense they make.
Though...the XTS hybrid concept is promising...so all hope for a stupid-efficient Cadillac is not lost.

But in that case...take that concept, shrink it, and stuff an LS9 into the back of it, please. I want a Caddy supercar.
