While the bad visibility was never an issue for me. It was for many people and it didnt help with sales. The hard-core Camaro fans STILL dont get it. If GM wants a Camaro that can sell as well as the Mustang, they need to make a car that appeals to the masses and not the niche market (Camaro6 forum) Mustang appeals to a broad market, car enthusiasts, young females, and many more. Its why theyve been able to keep the Mustang rolling across their assembly lines for over 60 years without stopping. Camaro will always be the GMs redheaded stepchild to the Corvette. So they will never put the resources into an amazing car named Camaro. Selfishly, I wish they would do a 3rd Gen retro design. Considering the 3rd gen holds rhe Camaro record for sales. They could have tapped into a bunch of nostalgia with us older types that can afford to buy it. What truly makes sense is to create a car that females, and what the younger crowd likes. Not the wanna be drag racers

Highly doubt they'll return with a fabric soft top... especially if it's a sedan. Now, I'm heading to the garage to ogle mine.

I’m not against improving if there is a gen7. It’s just not an issue if you know how to drive with mirrors…which is the correct way to drive. And back to the original point. I’d trade the HD camera mirror to get the garage door remote back. What an asinine thing to eliminate for a useless camera mirror

I agree with you I feel the exact same way in my Camaro although I do not have blind spot monitoring I just set my mirrors correctly and have no issue. |

Guys, it’s not just a mirror setting issue. You see LESS out of the Camaro than you do the Mustang and other sports cars. I didn’t feel like I had blind spot issues in my non-blind spot sensor car (2016 1SS). What people don’t like when it comes to visibility (aside from the blind spots and limited rear vision) is how little glass the car has. You just see less out of the Camaro than the competition. If you don’t believe me, just sit in a Mustang/C6/7 corvette. They feel like a literal fish bowl. I can understand the general public not liking the bunker feel. I used to not get it until I talked to actual people who test drove/rented them. The general public (the folks that GM has to appeal too as they are a much larger audience than us) does not like a lack of visibility.
One other thing I’ll point out, for those of you who haven’t tracked your Camaros, the windows aren’t even big enough to fit a helmet through them. So if you flip your car over and can’t open the doors, you have to remember to take your helmet off which is going to be hard because you will be in some type of shock. If you’re going to make a track special car, at least make the windows big enough to fit a helmet through.

From an engine and stats position I predict GM will follow history pretty close.
The pattern suggests it will likely get a version of the current C8’s LT2 (around 475–495 hp) while the refreshed/next Corvette steps up to the new 6.7L LS6 at 535 hp. Or at best, we get a lesser tuned LS6 but the last time we shared the lt1, the numbers were too close for some Corvette owners. |

With the Mustang having 480-486 hp and the Scatpack Charger having 550hp they are gong to have to go with the new LS6 6.7L if they want to Camaro to have a chance. In turn they will need to bump up the Stingray numbers. |

As Camaro drivers we know how to see what we NEED to see, but we have to admit...you see MORE out of a Mustang or Charger or Challenger.

Whether we like it or not, the reality is that the new Camaro will be designed for and marketed to consumers 40 years old and younger. That's the latter half of Millennials and Generation Z.
Either evolve with the changes or stick with what you already own.

As expected - Making it a 4 door makes a lot of sense given that there are no remaining sedans in the GM lineup. GM can use a single platform under a single nameplate to cover a wide variety of customers - average consumers looking to go from point A to B, customers who want a 4 door sedan that has performance characteristics (Chevy SS successor), etc. If they do green light the two door variant, it will most likely come later as it won't be a volume seller given the current state of the 2 door performance coup market. TLDR - it seems that GM is following Chrysler's strategy with the Charger (minus the EV variant which is not supported on the Alpha platform). |

I really do not want a gas powered car for my next car. I'd love an electric gen 3 looking camaro. But i'll take some sort of sedan that looks like a camaro. Though, honestly, after being burned by gm for not standing behind the camaro multiple times and the lack of pushing the ecrate for retrofits, i'm kinda looking at the mustang mach e. It's not as tall as an suv and doesn't look bad in person. Whatever my next car is, it's 100% going to be full electric and not tesla, otherwise i'll just keep this 2016 for another 10 years and look again, and maybe by then US models will have solid state batteries and free up design options. Gm should really look at competing with the mach e in the meantime and stop trying to make a semi-racecar for a demographic that can't afford it.
