Makes me sad too because I like to keep the car clean and cannot due to the freezing temperatures. I don't actually drive it in active snow storms. I don't even drive it if the roads are snow covered, that would be unnecessary risk. The counties and municipalities in South Jersey usually do a great job of snow removal. The roads a clear and dry 12 hours after an accumulating snow fall.
Last Wednesday I actually got to drive it on packed snow/ice. All of the area roads were clear and dry. I had some business at the bank to take care of. They failed. Their lot was covered in packed snow/ice. It had been over two days since the snow stopped falling. They were open but had a crew trying and failing at ice removal. I was nervous because I had never driven this car on ice before. It handled it perfectly, at low parking lot speeds. I certainly wasn't happy about it and expressed my displeasure when I was in the bank. You'd think a bank who's initials stand for Toronto Dominion would be good at snow removal. I guess not. -Ray |
