THIS is the news we want to see for a change
https://www.reuters.com/business/aut...na-2025-11-12/
Just happened to stumble across this article this morning. If this is actually happening (which all economics point to it actually having to happen) this would be some of the best news for us since they started doing this crap in the 90's. Let's not get political here, but this move would open up jobs for Americans and start boosting the economy again, AND quality of parts should and could improve tenfold. Seems like a big win for me.

It's kind of a win-lose scenario that you always get with manufacturing. Yes bringing this production back to the states would be good because it would create jobs and (in theory) improve quality of these parts, but the downside is the pricing would increase considerably. For some things most people would be fine paying that premium but you have to think there's a reason this production got shipped overseas in the first place... It's because we want CHEAP parts, and that's how you get cheap parts, produce them overseas where labor is cheap.

Got my new rear emblem.
Lots of low wage 2nd and 3rd would countries to chose from for manufacturing options. But it might still be more cost effective to replace UAW employees with robots here in the states. |

We are coming back slowly and it's great to watch. I try hard to buy American and it's impossible a lot of times and yeah, the quality on import stuff is usually low. If you want the next gens to join in the great American car culture making it here is a must and it looks like pride, teamwork, and rooting for the home team is on the rise. 🇺🇸
Now to get rid of all those pesky EPA regs that make U.S. cars entropy nightmares.
