Best Camaro SS... AMS2

If you are looking for a 2019 Camaro SS on the PC, look no further than the Street Cars section of Automobilista 2. This is perhaps the best one currently available though the same game also offers an even better rendition of the GT4 Camaro.

The Street Car (what used to be a safety car) allows for full h shifting transmissions and rewards heel and toe driving. The GT4, on the other hand uses sequential shifting. Both cars are absolutely wonderful on the Nordschliefe with 12.7 mile laps and approximately 72 turns per lap (this was additional dlc if I recall). You can also set the transmission to automatic, but why.... The only problem with the 2019 SS is slightly exaggerated body roll and slightly less grip than real life. The GT4 Camaro solves both those issues if you are interested.

Automobilista 2 is a proper sim so don't bother with an xbox controller. Bring a wheel, three pedals, and your shifter of choice. Asseto Corsa Competizione has a slightly different feel to it but also offers a great GT4 Camaro on the PC.

It actually irritates the crap out of me to drive my Camaro, so I mostly take my beater wrangler

Forza Motorsport 7 has a G6 Camaro SS, as well as a ZL1. Both behave excessively loose and have difficulty putting power down out of corners as well as excessive instability in transitions. Basing on how my SS 1LE drives on track, I think they did a poor job emulating these cars in the game. FM8 does not appear to have expanded the G6 options list.

I wish they had an SS 1LE, but alas they do not. On FM7, I've modified an SS by improving the suspension and wheels/tires to get it to a point where it feels like a 1LE. All's good now!

I think the ZLE feels pretty decent in GT7, better than in GT Sport. While I'm quicker in a 911 GT3 in the turns, the ZLE is close enough and faster in the straights and I just like driving it in the game more.

Best I’ve found is the Camaro in Automobilista 2, both the street car and GT4. The street one rolls, but upping front ARB, a click lower ride height, and targeting ~26 psi hot makes it feel close, GT7’s ZL1 1LE is tighter out of the box on my T300. When I take a break I’m in CS2 trading skins instead of opening cases, and a 24/7 bot with crypto was painless. Their blog’s csgo best anime looks helped me choose Oni Taiji and Bullet Queen.

The current early release of Asetto Corsa Evo has a ZL1 and ZLE.
