Yep, I would definitely take one of those over a Z06

Toyota has lost their minds.

For the price I would expect a retractable hardtop. I don’t see many cross shopping between a z06 and this, maybe just a few, may as well go base C8 convert and really save. They only make a few thousand of them at most so Toyota needs to get $’s some how.

It should top out at $80K. It is not that special. But I am not elite, so what do I know. They will sell all of them to the elite and could give a crap less about me. And to that point, it is not a Camary and not for the masses.

Toyota is smoking crack if they expect to sell them at almost $90K when you can get better for less money

Y’all aren’t understanding the point of this car. Nobody is cross shopping this against a corvette. This is a GT car, not a performance car. A GT car is supposed to be a 2 seater with a very comfortable ride, great interior and some power. I agree that it’s slow as shit for the price and there are potentially other GT cars in the price bracket that are faster (Jaguar F type) but it beats most of the competitors in regards to the interior.a corvette has a way worse interior compared to this and a rougher ride. Not saying the C8 rides rough or has a bad interior, but compared to GT cars it does fall short in those areas. This is an old guy car who just wants something that looks good, super comfy and beautiful interior who just wants to be able to drive across country in comfort.
