This long of a delay is strange. That said...the 2025 build and price is out there, but not straight forward to find.

If you go to the Colorado build and price page it is for the 2024 model, but next to the "2024" text is a little grey edit pencil button. Click that and it will take you back to a page with all models. Find the Colorado and click the build/price link there and you get the 2025 model. I have no idea if all the information there is accurate, but it does have some of the 2025 options, such as colors and wheels that weren't available in MY 2024.

I have 11k miles on it now. So far pretty good, none of the major issues that other early 2023 trucks had. Any problems have been sorted out by my dealer.

I'm aware that Malibu production ends with the 2025 model year.

Now I'm reading reports of a forthcoming new Malibu and the return of a larger (Impala?) sedan. None of them are from reliable sources though. Is there any truth to them?

What we are seeing (my company that forecasts the auto industry) is that GM will likely

1. Extend A2 including a NG CT5 (no mention of CT4)
2. Introduce a Chevrolet EV Sedan to compete with expected Mustang EV Sedan.

What the Chevrolet sedan will be called is anybody's guess. That may be where the Malibu rumors are coming from.

Actually this thing keeps moving. A lot has changed since August (my quoted post above)

What we KNOW:

• There will be a next gen CT5 built on Alpha2. Alpha2 might receive some updates / upgrades.
• There will be a Chevrolet sedan built on Alpha2 alongside the CT5.
• Both the CT5 and the Chevrolet sedan will have a manual transmission option.
• There will be a GM EV sedan.

What we are not sure of:

• No confirmation on what the Alpha2 will be called. Could be Malibu. Could be Impala. Could be Camaro. Could be something completely different.
• What brand or nameplate the GM EV Sedan will be. It could be the long rumored Buick Wildcat (or Electra?). It could be a Cadillac, since Cadillac already has all the EV SUV spaces covered, they may have room for a sedan. Could be a Chevrolet. If the Alpha2 car is Impala, EV could be Malibu. Or vice versa. Or either configuration (Alpha2 or EV) could be Camaro.

Yes, I read about it, which is what prompted me to check if there was mention of it here. I had decided that my 2019 Impala would be the sedan that I keep forever, but an ICE sedan, with a manual gearbox and a storied name could be irresistible.

Also team Impala. SS variant with the V8/MT combo for enthusiasts built alongside the next gen CT5. Also would fit a Nascar/Chevy branding opportunity especially since they are still running zombie Camaro.
