[OPEN] Request to enable BB Code table in the signature

Hi Admins,

Is there a possibility to enable creation of BB Code table like this (space inserted on purpose otherwise table header is not displayed):

[tr]
[th][SIGPIC][/SIGPIC][/th]
[th]Text[/th]
[/tr]
[/table ]
in the signature section?
Goal is to be able to place picture and description next to each other to avoid going over 200pix limit (and having your picture cut as you can see in my current signature)

Turning on BB Code or adding this script definitely won't happen and the limits are there to keep signatures from getting too big. That's what a Journal is for that can be linked directly from your picture like mine is.

You also have too many lines of text taking up photo space. I removed this one... "Mods planned: Morimoto LED lamps set (front)" and now your picture shows at the bottom

The problem was that the signature was getting too long not too big - my solution allows to utilize the empty space while still keeping the same length limit. That's why I would welcome solution to put picture side by side with text not below or above.

Yes, I understand... wish we could change it but this software is almost 20 years old and the signature layout just isn't going to change.

One thing we used to do was photoshop all the Text and mod lists into the picture and then just have the picture with no text.

Yes, I was thinking about adding text to the picture but it is not an elegant solution - rather a quick workaround

It also helps when screen window is small and the text starts wrapping. My sig doesn't change.

In the newer versions of Vbulletin there is an option to allow users to use their own BB Code, but you know that's not happening here LOL.

So in short this means that BB code table is not sth already available in the system just to be easily enabled, right?

What you are asking for wasn't added to vBulletin until version 4.2. We are on 3.8. As it stands now, no it is not something that can simply be enabled.

I couldn't remember how far back but knew it was there from forums I've created.

This one also took on major updates of it's own back in the day so a complete divergence from VB other than the DB.
