The interest is worse than a huge ADM. I refused to pay either and now I own a 22 ZL1 and a 24 C8 3LT outright both in my choice of colors and amenities. They sleep in a protected garage. Early retired and I sleep late too

Folks, he traded a C8 Z06 for another C8 Z06. the '17 ZL1 was his old car that they still had on file at the dealership and they erroneously put the ZL1 as his trade instead of the Z06. He did not get $105k trade-in on a '17 ZL1.

0% APR is an excellent reason to not pay cash.

I think many are assuming the OP is going to make those payments for the entire duration. As Arpad implied, he'll likely pay off the loan or refinance in a month.
I've done that before. Make a deal allowing the dealership to use their own financing. It often results in a better price for the car. Then refinance. If you want to be extra nice to the dealership, you can wait a little while, allowing them to get commission from the financing bank and then refinance. I did it on a BMW which essentially resulted in free maintenance for 2-3 years longer than standard. Did it on other cars negotiating extra money off the sales price. It's a strategy. Congrats OP! That's a great price on a new Z06! |

That would be correct anywhere outside of where California is. I was utterly surprised and asked them to check the taxes when i traded in my car here in Texas after living in California for 10+ years. It's totally different in California.
