Site activity has slowed down....

Why has Camaro5 slowed down in activity lately? Seems it is not as active as it once was. I went to ModernCamaro and its DEAD.

According to the tree-huggers, everyone must've ditched their Camaros for EVs.

Oh, no. Wait. They're probably out wrenching on, or driving their cars with the top down, roof open, or windows down (or A/C on), depending on body style.

Unfortunately, some Camaro owners are temporary and just want the next "new" thing.

It's not uncommon for a defunct model to have people lose enthusiasm for. Even worse when GM isn't helping by losing enthusiasm for keeping repair parts stocked and forcing people to give up their Camaro because they can't find new parts to fix it.

Plus the fact that "forums" are like shopping malls. Old school. People actually think Facebook is the place to go, apparently. I'm not going there, though.

Most internet boards are near death unfortunately.

Just like almost all car magazines have disappeared.

This has crossed my mind....

The Corvette Forum is still pumping with non-stop activity. Sadly I don't own a C4 vert anymore...

Even before Facebook became the hub for social media this life cycle of a vehicle specific forum was pretty common. Once a model goes out of production, it's only a matter of time before the audience interested in that particular model also begins to wane.

The 5th gen Camaro definitely has good staying power, much better than a lot of other model specific forums I've watched go all but extinct. I'm grateful that the forum has remained as active as it has, all things considered. It's a great repository of information, and I'm totally fine with the increase in advertising as long as those funds are used to continue to fund it's existence.

I'm currently a member of thenewx.org for my DD which is a 2015 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X and the forum is still going strong, even though the second gen came out in 2005. I'm also glad that thirdgen.org for the Third Gen F- Bodies still has a lot of activity going on since there are plenty of interest and resources on parts for them. Hopefully the 5th Gen Camaro will have that coming for it in due time. On both these forums... I rarely see ads pop up in the middle of a thread when using the computer. I only saw these ads when using Tapatalk.
