Use your phone or a friend's phone! Sounds like a very cool ride. The 327 4-speed in the 1st gen is often overshadowed by the other drivertrain options but is a fun setup for the street and with mild mods gives some respectable 1/4 mile times.

The last 60's something was this 69 Camaro. 502, 700r4, vintage air, fuel injected. Sold it a couple of years ago. Starting to look for a 1970 Chevelle that isn't a build sheet matching numbers car.

lol, yes you did. Not gonna lie, I've contemplated selling it and getting something else. I still need to get the trans replaced though. I broke it in the spring and decided this was a good excuse to get a TKX 5 speed. Just haven't had the time to deal with it though. I already have the new clutch, flywheel, etc but just need to get the trans ordered.

I've done a little bit of work to mine lately. Installed a TKX 5 speed and had to replace the trans hump in the floor due to some crappy work done by the previous owner. I also replaced the rear lower control arms and sway bar with parts from UMI. Still need to do the uppers on the rear and the front suspension.

New wheels/tires are next on the list after that.

Nice job on that 5 speed install! What wheel and tire combo are you going with? Your current setup looks damn good. IMO the bigger wheels and small sidewalls just don't look right on our A bodies. The lines of these cars need meaty tires with white letters!

Great looking car. I've been a Chevelle fan since the mid 70s. I have owned a few but never had a 1969.

A couple weeks ago I finally got both of my toys together to take a couple pictures.

Thank you! I'm most likely going to do 18x8f, 18x9.5r Ridler 652. They're a new wheel that Ridler just released and I love the modern take on a classic look.
