$10K for a wedding? Ha... my parents paid in excess of 30k each for all three of my sisters wedding 20-25 years ago. $10k will bareley get you plane tickets and a suite in Vegas.

The wife and I having a standing offer to our three daughters; a free ride to college (have to maintain a 3.0 and graduation in 4 years is mandatory) or a wedding and the older two both took college.

Weddings are for women. I don't love my wife any more because we had a big wedding. I would have rather seen my in-laws save all that cash and buy themselves something nice.

What an incredible waste of money on something so pretencious.

My wedding cost us $5k back in 85, that was all her dad would pay. She found a beautiful dress for $300 and we had our wedding/reception at a historic hunting lodge it was fantastic. Like PQ says a fancy wedding is not an indication of the love or commitment two people have for each other.

Definately don't need to be in a hurry, we got married when we were 20, don't regret it at all but it was rough the first couple of years from a maturity and financial standpoint. We'll be celebrating 25 years in May

Well I lucked out. She just asked me if her bday present is a black lambourgini with "butterfly" doors. I told her sorry I searched all over and all I could find were gull wing doors so I didn't get her one. She will have to settle for a simple diamond necklace and I do mean simple! Pretty though.

Two girls: 2 and 5 years-old. I already can't place a word in a normal discussion. And then, my wife wonders why I've got (not kidding) 12-14 different beers in my garage's fridge.

Love all the three of them, though (including my wife!). Well,l four, if you include the Camaro!

Happy birthday to your daughter!

Phil
