Dark hair has always been my favorite shade, on almost anyone, including Bonnie. Just personal pref.

That said, the red still looks great, and change is fun. Problem is, red hair is a BISH to keep the exact shade you want. Red loses color faster than any other shade (at least, of the natural shades.) To keep it the shade of red you want longer:

1. Only wash your hair when you have to. If you're used to washing it daily, reconsider. Does it truly -need- to be washed today?

2. Wash it in the coldest water you can stand. Hot water "opens" the hair up, letting the color out.

3. (No brainer here) Use the best shampoo and conditioner you can, and make sure it is for colored hair. (I recommend Matrix Colorsmart.)

Take it from a beautician's kid.
