Return fuel system, fuel rails
I have a 14' ZL1, that's a full bolt-on car. I now need more fuel. I'm opting to do a full return system, instead of a DSX Aux system. A hole in the bottom of my gas tank scares the poop out of me.
The only question I have, has to do with the fuel rails. The injectors for #7 and #8 are really close to a blockage of sorts. I'm trying to see how others have installed their full rails. How did you plumb the fuel rails. I can not find any pics where fuel rails have been installed on a LSA. I can't be the first one to do this, can I?!?! |

There are several builders on here so one of them will surely answer your question. I can’t help you I don’t know anything about that. If someone doesn’t help you go to the vendors page on this web site and choose one. There all here to help. It might be after this weekend before you get a response since it is a holiday weekend. Good luck.

I went with a fore fuel system and used their rails . Some people have cutt the dog ears on the back sides of the blower to clear fitings . It’s not a clear pic of the rail but if you look closely y oh can see how it’s mounted up as I didn’t cutt the dog ears off mine. I’m running the l4 system so my rails are running in parallel.

Why would you be scared to drill the hole in the tank? Its the easiest part of the install. Fran from rpm uses almost the same setup as dsx except they plumb in a regulator with a return line and drill 2 holes in the tank.

With me doing the work, I see the extra work as minimal compare to the aux pump system. Last edited by TopDawg_43; 11-26-2023 at 08:45 AM. |

Your setup also gives me a good idea of where and how to mount the fuel filter. Last edited by TopDawg_43; 11-25-2023 at 08:20 PM. |

We use the DSX system in a LOT of cars, and I can tell you that if they were developing leaks, we'd hear about it. It's a well designed kit that works extremely well.
That said, I can appreciate the aversion to that sort of an install, and there is nothing wrong with doing an in-tank setup with a return. Fore Innovation is who we like to work with, and they have very nice, very complete kits suitable for a variety of power levels. They would be my go-to for what you're looking to do.

I was one of those that decided they didn't want to drill my tank. Cost me a lot more to do it this way, but it's solid. I used Aeroflow rails and Deatchwerks teflon lines and pumps. Risingson is correct, I had to cutoff the ears off the back of the blower so the fittings would clear, but they're not used in my application anyway.
Tons of videos on my youtube if interested.

My rails are plumbed in a factory style dead-head configuration with the crossover hose routed behind the blower. I used Radium rails. Works well enough for where I'm at now power wise, but the setup has limitations and I have upgrades planned.
