I don't know anybody that bought a yugo. But to this day I still see k cars running around. Read your history. Those cars along with the mini van is what helped to turn chrysler around the first time they had trouble.

1) They're going to make a t-diesel jeep. Looks like 5 jeep models total
2) They are cutting their offerings in every segment but the very small cars where they go from 0 to 2 and trucks which stay the same until the Dakota drops
3) They are cutting out management and improving line structure
4) They are doing a bunch of corporate double talk about quality
5) Dodge is staying around and making 'lifestyle' products (whatever that means)
6) Challenger is on the chart until 2014 with a 2011 refresh of some sort
7) Some sort of sync competitor coming
8) Some new engines coming, particularly 4s and 6s with some existing engines adapted to multiair for better economy
9) Dodge dakota going bye-bye, possibly a unibody replacement coming (ewww) and a heavy duty commercial van/box cab coming soon. Otherwise Ram brand goes on as is til 2012 refresh
10) Revised retail channel corporate double speak

^There you go, 10 items. Basically same thing evetone else has done.

its a low volume car so it really doesnt matter....that isnt what is hurting chrysler. less than 30k challengers are made per year. that is low compared to the other 2.

I guess the Caravan is ok but who wants to buy an ugly ass minivan when you could get an Escape or Equinox cheaper and get better gas milage. while looking better doing it. Do Ford or GM even sell minivans anymore? Every Dodge/Chrysler my family or friends have ever owned has needed a new transmission, ranging from a '93 Newyorker to an '04 Ram, in between there were a couple vans and a Stratus. I say good riddance, maybe Fiat can make them not suck so bad.

The Jeeps are fine, give the ram a few more years. Non of the cars were mine personally, I'd never buy one and I can't say how the other people treated theirs. But that's quite a few lemons to be a coincidence.

I really want to like Dodge/Chrysler. But the best of their line-up is barely competitive. And the worst, well look at the Sebring. Fuel economy is below average, reliability is below average too, styling is hit or miss lately (unfortunately with more misses than hits), though they do alright on features. Beyond sheet metal there is little to differentiate a Chrysler from a Dodge, including price. Thats questionable if you have 8 brands and 20% of the market, but 3 brands and 10%? You'd be hard pressed to find someone who will say thats a good idea. And now they're splitting Dodge into Dodge (cars) and Ram (trucks). It might work, but whats the point? And Jeep ... they'll always survive. Fiat is now what, the 6th owner of that brand? Lets see Willys Overland, AMC, Chrysler, Daimer-Benz, Cerburus, and now Fiat. I may have missed one or two.

What they really need is to get away from making 'interesting' cars and make 'appealing' cars. The Prowler was 'interesting', the Viper is 'interesting', the Challenger is 'interesting' but none of them have much widespread appeal. Sure you can argue they are halo cars, but that only works if you have something decent sitting on the lot for customers to step into as an alternative. The Dodge Caliber just doesn't cut it.

Overall, they hardly represent a decent value let alone a good value. This is reflected in their sales. They've been down ~75% vs 2007 (the last good year) for 2 months in a row. Industry average is about half that. Hopefully an infusion of small car proficancy will really help Chrysler Corp, and arrive in time. Otherwise, they are dead.

And p-nut, the SRT8's make 425 hp not 427.

Well I can't say for sure, but their chart shows the 5.7 continuing to 2014 and it shows a truck refresh in there. The 6.1 continues to show up on the chart and it looks like they've spun Ram off to take care of it.

It looks like they want to take care of the Jeep core too (Wranglers and Grand Cherokees).

Looks like some of the cars may be where you see a lot of machete's.

As far as transmission problems, I've had a Dodge truck in my driveway of one sort or another since the mid-90s. They've been pretty bulletproof including transmissions. The cars though, I've seen some bad stuff. Except the Charger siblings with the mercedes transmission- I haven't heard too much bad stuff about them.

I tend to like Chevy cars and Dodge trucks I guess
