We pulled all those blades off the front fan section for a lab. Which included removing that cone (I could use it as an igloo.. no lie) 4 retainer brackets.. and 45 blades.

Putting them back in was the drum solo temptation point.. wanted to go all Phill Collins on it.

Yeah.. JT9 blade removal and inspection is quite epic. I'll have to get pics of the engine. Wish I had taken some when we had all the fan blades off, looked even cooler.

But, I gotta hit the road and head to KBTL for class. I'll be back later.
