Fact is, 98% have ALLREADY been eliminated. So it's only exciting for what, maybe 6 teams? You bring up a great point. I'm an OU fan. My season was over after the second loss. WOW. That's really exciting. My point is the NFL stays exciting for ALL fans until well into the 7th week, and 70% well into Nov. Can't say that about CFB because here we are and most have been done for a while.

The 'One and done' point you make is really stupid because it's only exciting for the teams who are STILL IN IT. THe NFL keeps people in it much longer. And it allows for the drama of watching a team develope together and go for a title.

People who are in favor of no playoffs in CFB are the ones who want their team to beat up on 9 crappy teams and two good ones every year and only have to prove themselves in ONE tough game in post season.

I'll bet you cheer and scream when Florida scores against Hofstra. I don't even watch OU when they play a Div. million A team. It's pathetic to watch. You're drinking the College game day Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreet cheerleading, dude. lmao

At the end of the day its all subjective. I happen to think a team being able to loose 7 times and make it to the super bowl is boring.

Ok, to you it is. But it doesn't happen often(wildcard SB winners that is). You're a Florida fan. You guys get athletes and are good most of the time. So is OU and about 10 other teams. The rest of the country is SOL. The season is interesting to them for about 3 weeks. I have to pass the time watching a bunch of games I care nothing about as far as the winner. So I'm like 98% of the rest of the college fans in the country. How can that be considered more exciting? You are damn right about it's more exciting when you have to win or you're done. Unfortunately, you eliminate all your fans early and you have only the few who still have a team alive.

Which BTW is why the NFL still has more watchers all year long. Makes perfect sense.

I won't yeild that because there's no way for us to know. I do know these sports don't make their money off the hardcore fans for the most part but the casual fan. Veiwership is where they make their money.I'm not spending my afternoon watching a team that's has NO chance of winning it all. What's the point?

All I know is half way through a season in CFB you've allready eliminated 98% of contenders. In the NFL they are ALL still alive. The games are riveting because of scenarios and seeding. And the best part is when the SB is over NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY argues over who the champion is. In CFB they argue EVERY YEAR.

And anyway, a playoffs wouldn't take away the importance of ANY games during the year. I don't understand that arguement. You still have to win your conference to get to the playoffs and most of the time two losses eliminates you.
