Are you guys really engaged, or is that a promise ring? I got my special lady a ruby ring after our first year, we have marriage plans, and we live together, but I don't consider us engaged yet.

we are engaged but i guess not "offically". like my parents wont let us get married till he has his degree. he asked me on our two year with that ring but i'm sure we will do it again for my parents benefit. get what i'm saying? to everyone but my parents we are engaged, not because they dont know he asked me but they are just crazy. haha.

That's cool. I was waiting until my career was a little more established, so I'm just now starting to save up for the ring. We've been together about three years now and I'll probably pop the question sometime next year.
