2024 Camaro dropping with the 2.0 turbo??

Hi, we just placed an order for a 2024 3LT Camaro and were not able to order the 2.0 turbo, only the 6. Has anyone heard about the 2.0 being dropped?

I hope it's due to factors other than problems with the engine, as I just got a 2023 with the 2.0L turbo and I really like it. It's fuel efficient, and has plenty of power for me. I stepped on it the other day, and my head went back into the headrest while my eyes opened wide... thinking holy @#$%!

Word on the street is that the 2.0 LTG got discontinued because it no longer had any other application and the Camaro sales volume alone was too low to support it.

They dropped the 2.0T from the Equinox line, and the Camaro was the last vehicle using it. Probably re-tooling the factory for something else.

That 2.0T has been in production for quite a while. FWD and RWD and it’s been a great engine.

Had a version of it in a Sky Red Line 15 years ago. Too bad GM didn’t offer the fuel injector and calibration package they did back then. Nice bump in HP but even better torque bump.

I have the the 2.0t in both my 2022 1LT and 2019 Equinox. It is a fantastic engine. Great power, especially mid-range, and great fuel economy. That I can go out mountain pass carving as part of an all day cruise averaging 29-30 mpg still just blows me away.

I have not heard, but good if they did. It is/was an abomination and another slap in the face from FORD. GM should be ashamed.

I drove my 16 focus st,2.0 turbo, 96k miles and sold it to get a 21 Camaro v6. I liked the 2 liter Ecoboost but I like the v6 lot more, especially with the x pipe and mbrp axel back.

The 2.0L was a great engine, and the GM autocross team wiped the floor with all the V8 CAM-C cars with it a few years ago.
