something shocking happened last week : i saw two new Camaro's in one day. Been about 5 years since that happened.
vivid orange 1LE in the morning and rapid blue SS convertible in the evening, both in my neighborhood.

it's a good time to abandon GM altogether. their upcoming cars are ditching Android auto and Apple car play so they can shove their own in house interface with their own subscriptions down whatever buyer makes the mistake of purchasing from them.
guess I'll have to buy something from a different oem for the first time in my life. good job GM. not that they care |

Hate to say it but you’re definitely correct to assume that. I just wish consumers would hold their ground and NOT pay for it so that it would be free again.

if we had a free market, I'd disagree, since someone would sell something consumers want. but we don't. so I'll bank on not all of them following suit at the same time, but plan on having to mostly gut my next new car and replace the infotainment with something else. I'm not squeamish voiding warranties or even having to glue a damn thin lcd panel on top of the oem one that connects to a mini pc emulating a car for Android auto to recognise. I'll already almost definitely have to remove the cell radio it will come with. just looking forward to finding out what stupid proprietary audio signal my next car will use to make interfacing even more difficult for no reason. OEM's are funny. they are increasingly making themselves less and less relevant as a consumer choice by becoming more and more of an appliance you don't really own because more and more is subscribed or unmaintainable by the owner. it's like they want to eventually get driven down to 1 company making generic cars that nobody cares about as they rent their ride to wherever they are going. |

That would be a plan if we haven't already seen things become "mandatory options".

It is very wise for the other OEMs to keep silent about it and I can see backlash about the loss of carplay and android auto. If GM does succeed and other OEMs do this I had an image in my head of everyone going back to cellphone holders on vents etc and windshield suction cup phone holders like back in the 2000s when I was a kid/teenager.

Last June or July is my best guess. Production doesn’t start until early August and sometimes they don’t put it up until production starts.

I doubt you can get a 1LE with this collector decal edition.

GM said in the initial announcement that the 1LE package won’t be available with the Collector Edition.

Unfortunately Nissan isn't what it used to be either. I'm beginning to wonder if it is going to survive in the long run. Nissan has had more product delays recently than just about any other manufacturer and it continues to have financial issues.
