yeah they are in the ant family. but they look like spiders. my ex fiance caught one (well found a dead one) when he was in iraq and sent me a pic. i couldn't sleep for days. i slept with my light on. (i'm not kidding, i hate spiders)

They are fun to play with...we used to play with scorpions and the in the pacific realm with those huge centipedes..we would pull the pinchers off and throw them at each other..but when someone got lazy and didnt pull the pinchers off and they bit you..wwhoaaaaa ouch
