2023 Dodge Hornet
This looks promising. Not a world beater, but solid none-the-less. 2 performance options, 2.0L Turbo 4 @ 265hp 295ft tq for under 30k. or Hybrid 285hp 383ft tq. Both AWD.
I would say this is probably in line with the Equinox pricing. Probably a little smaller in size though.

I just can't bring myself to give a $hit about a crossover. Practical vehicle wise show me a van with a second row that folds into a bed or has a table, or a wagon that has a rear facing third row.

It shades toward the right direction. Rwd based drivetrain with a stick option and not a turbo 4, would carve a niche. Too much soft curve styling.

Looking at that picture, those style hatch windows are dumb. Roll down tailgate windows are probably too expensive, or look bad anymore. At least have them go up vertical or swing to the side. They get in the way of a hoist arm, or if the vehicle is a bit downhill.
